Instructions for how to make Rajma Tikki Burger:
- Firstly, prepare mint garlic dip and rajma tikki as mentioned below with detailed instructions and step by step pictures.
- Next, set a pan on medium heat, add butter in the pan and toast the burger buns from both sides.
- Now, place a base of burger bun and place 2 fresh lettuce leaves and spread a small spoonful of mint garlic dip over it.
- Then place rajma patty and tomato slices over it.
- Add 2 tsp fresh mango salsa and fried onion to it.
- Place a slice of cheese and close it by placing the top bun. Rajma Tikki Burger is ready to serve. Enjoy!
1. Firstly, take 1/4 cup thick curd/ plain yogurt and 2 tbsp mayonnaise in a small mixing bowl.
2. Then add 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp powdered sugar, a pinch of ground black pepper, salt to taste, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp finely chopped fresh mint to it.
3. Mix all the ingredients really well. Mint garlic dip is ready, keep it in the refrigerator for later use.
4. Take 1/2 cup poha, wash it with water allow to soften.
5. Next, take 1 cup boiled Rajma (Red kidney beans or Pinto beans).
6. Mash the Rajma with potato masher or in a grinder jar and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
7. Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh green coriander, 1 tsp finely chopped mint leaves to it.
8. Then add 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, salt to taste and 1/4 tsp ground black pepper to it.
9. Then add the soaked poha and 1 tbsp bread crumbs to it.
10. Mix them well and make a soft dough.
11. Take a big spoonful of mixture in your hand and shape into a patty. Make sure the patty size should be as big as your burger bun size.
12. Set a pan on medium heat, add oil and place the patty on it.
13. Grill the patty on both the sides until crisp and golden brown.

Tips:
- In place of garlic powder, grated garlic can also be used.
- Instead of Poha, you can also use more quantity of bread crumbs, but poha is a more heathier option.
- You can use red kidney beans or pinto beans as per the availability.
- You can also deep-fry or shallow fry the tikki, but I have only pan-fry the tikki on griller pan, which gives the tikki perfect texture- crisp from outside and soft from inside.
- Make sure to add mango salsa, as it makes burger more flavourful and yummy.
- Rajma Tikki Burger tastes great, when served hot.
