In Hindi language, fritters are known as a 'Pakora' or 'Pakoda'. There is a huge variety of Pakoras in Indian cuisine, even I have also shared different kind of pakora recipes in my Snacks Recipes Collection like Mix Veg Pakora Recipe, Palak Pakora Recipe, Onion Pakora Recipe, Aloo Pakora Recipe, Pakora Chaat Recipe, Palak Patta Chaat Recipe, Chana Dal Fritters, Moong Dal Fritters and many more snack recipes.

Paneer pakoda is a popular pakora variety that you will also find in many Indian restaurants and this kind of stuffed Paneer Pakora is even available in almost all Sweet Shops. I have shared a recipe of Paneer Pakora, which tastes like the pakoras we got from sweet shops- Halwai style. Its stuffing recipe is also simple, prepared with thick and spicy Green Chutney, Tamarind chutney and Chaat masala. Sprinkling chaat masala over the pakoras is totally optional, but it makes the Pakoras more flavourful.  I always sprinkle chaat masala over all kind of Pakoras.

Finally, I would like you to checkout more categories like Breakfast Recipes Collection, Indian Sweets & Dessert Recipes, and Indian Curry Recipes Collection.

Tips:

  • For crispy Pakoras, make the batter to a thick and flowing consistency. Do not make it thin or runny, as it will absorb more oil and will be soggy.
  • Whisk the batter properly for puffy pakoras. Alternatively, you can add a pinch of baking soda.
  • Cut the paneer into any shape of your choice like round, square, triangle or rectangle. I usually prefer to slice paneer in a square or rectangular shape.
  • To make the process simpler, you just take the paneer cubes, coat them with the batter and fry them.
  • Paneer Pakoras tastes great, when served hot with Tea or Coffee.
