This Granola Bars recipe is so versatile, as you can easily incorporate your favorite flavors, like nuts, chocolate and dried fruits. These bars are much healthier than store-bought granola bars because many are loaded with added sugar, calories, and artificial ingredients, but these home-made granola bars are prepared with 100% pure ingredients and the sweetness also comes from dates and honey. I have used organic honey for this recipe. Earlier I have also shared Sugar Free Dates Dry Fruit Rolls Recipe. - You can add more nuts of your choice like Pecans, Peanuts etc.
- Flax seeds or Chia seeds can also be used. But use them in limited quantity, as these seeds absorb moisture.
- You can also add desiccated coconut as per your preference.
- Choco-chips can also be added, especially for kids.
- With dried cranberries, more dried fruit can be added like dried blueberries, cherries, raisins, apricots etc.
- The oats need some time to soak up the moisture, so chill the mixture for at least one hour (or as long as a day) before slicing.
- Use a sharp chef’s knife to slice these bars.
- Granola Bars tastes great and are healthy, as no-added sugar is used and prepared only with sweetness of dates and honey.
