Dates Dry fruits Rolls are made with dates, lots of dry fruits, coconut and poppy seeds, so this barfi is warming in nature and hence good for winter season or cold days. These are sugar free dry fruit barfi as it has natural sweetness, that comes from dates. Combination of figs and dates can also be used make this barfi. it can be set in a plate and cut into square barfi pieces or dry fruits laddu can also be make. Instructions for how to make Sugar Free Khajur Dry Fruits Barfi:
- Firstly, take 2 cups of seedless dates/ Khajur and finely chop them. Keep the chopped dates aside.
- Next, heat a large pan and dry roast 2 tbsp poppy seeds and keep it aside.
- Then in the same pan dry roast 1/2 cup chopped almonds, 1/2 cup chopped cashew nuts and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Roast them on low flame for 5 minutes or till the nuts turn crunchy. Keep the roasted nuts aside too.
- Now, heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and add roasted poppy seeds to it.
- Then add finely chopped dates/ khajoor to it.
- Mash the dates slightly with potato masher. This is optional but it smoothens the khajur.
- Add the roasted nuts, 1/2 tsp green cardamom powder and 1/2 grated nutmeg to it.
- Then add 1/4 cup desiccated coconut to it and mix them well with mashed dates.
- Continue to fry on low flame smashing dates with a spatula. This helps dates to separate out and mix uniformly with other dry fruits.
- Turn off the flame and transfer the mixture in a plate so that it cools down quickly.
- Roll the mixture into a long log with your hands and wrap the log with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 2 hours. Alternatively, you can pinch little mixture and roll them to make Dates Laddu.
- Then unwrap the log and cut it into 1/2 cm thick burfi chunks.

Tips:
- Add dry fruits of your choice like pistachio, raisins etc.
- Roast dry fruits on low flame for more crunchy bites.
- Increase the proportion of dates if you like it more sweet.
- In place of poppy seeds, you can also add sesame seeds.
