A Frappe is an iced beverage that has been shaken, blended or beaten to produce a tasty, foamy, and refreshing drink. It is served cold, often with whipped cream and toppings. The name frappé comes from French, where it describes drinks chilled with ice. As this recipe is an iced drink prepared with mangoes, so its name is Mango Frappe. Instructions for how to make Café style Mango Frappe at home:
- Firstly, wash and peel 2 mangoes and take out the mango pulp from them. Add this mango pulp in the grinder jar and make the puree. Keep 1 tbsp mango puree aside for later use.
- Then add 1 full glass ice cubes to it.
- Then add 2 tbsp sugar and 1/2 glass chilled milk to it. The amount of sugar depends upon the sweetness of mango or as per your taste.
- Blend them on pulse mode or ice-crush mode of blender/ grinder to make thick chilled mango shake.
- Next, take two serving glasses and brush them with prepared mango puree. This is totally optional but it makes the frappe look beautiful. Then pour the prepared thick chilled mango shake equally in two glasses. Make sure to leave some space at the top for piping the cream.
- Pour little bit mango puree over them as shown in the picture.
- Now take 1/2 cup chilled heavy whipping cream, 1 tbsp powdered sugar and 1/2 tsp ice-cream essence in a bowl. Whip it until stiff peaks come and fill in the icing bag with star nozzle.
- Then pipe the prepared frappe glasses with whipped cream as shown in the picture.
- Garnish them with chopped small mango pieces.
