There are many variations to this simple snack of cheese balls recipe - like you can add gram flour instead of corn flour, you can add cheddar or processed cheese instead of mozzarella cheese and lastly you can add or skip any vegetable according to your preference. Cheese-based recipes and snacks are very common now a days. Instructions for how to make Cheese Balls:
- In a large bowl, take 1 cup or 3-4 boiled and grated potatoes and then add 1/4 cup grated Mozzarella cheese in it.
- Then add 1 tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp mixed herbs, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp chili flakes and salt to taste to it.
- Add 1 tbsp corn flour and 2 tbsp bread crumbs to it. Combine well to make a dough.
- Now, let's prepare corn flour slurry by taking 2 tbsp corn flour, 2 tbsp maida and 1/2 cup water. Mix well making sure there are no lumps.
- Take a ball sized mixture, flatten slightly and place 1/4 tsp mozzarella cheese in the centre.
- Roll to form a smooth ball.
- Dip the ball in a corn flour slurry and then roll in bread crumbs.
- Deep fry in hot oil, stirring occasionally.
- Fry on medium flame, until the cheese balls turn golden brown and crisp.
- Cheese Balls are ready to serve. Enjoy!

Tips:
- You can add or skip any vegetable according to your preference.
- You can use market bought breadcrumbs or white breadcrumbs also.
- You can add Cheddar cheese also, but mozzarella cheese gives them more cheesy flavour.
- Fry cheese balls on medium flame.
