Tricolour sandwich bites are perfect for kids lunch box or snack box. For this recipe you need very few ingredients like Green Sandwich Chutney and green veggies of your choice like capsicum/lettuce/cucumber for green layer, Paneer for white layer and tomato ketchup and carrot/tomato for orange layer. My daughter suggested me this recipe and she wanted to share this recipe on this portal as a Republic Day recipe. I have prepared only 4 sandwich bites by using only 2 bread slices. Similarly, you can prepare more if you want. As I have used thick slices of paneer, which makes it filling. Give this easy and quick recipe a try. Instructions for how to make Tricolour Sandwich Bites:
- Firstly, cut the sides of 2 white or wheat bread. Then cut a slice of bread into four small squares/rectangles, to make sandwich bites.
- To make one tricolour sandwich bite, take 2 small bread squares. On one bread square, spread 1 tsp green sandwich chutney.
- Then place thinly sliced capsicum over it. Alternatively use sliced cucumber or lettuce to make green layer.
- Then place a bread sized thick Paneer slice, which will make the white layer of Tiranga. And then sprinkle little salt and ground black pepper over the paneer slice.
- Then take the another bread square and apply tomato sauce over it and place sliced/grated carrots over it to make Orange layer. Alternatively use tomato slices for orange layer. Then season with some salt and ground black pepper.
- And flip over this prepared bread square over the paneer slice. Press gently and make a dot/circle in the centre of paneer slice with ground black pepper as Ashok Chakra. This is optional. Likewise, prepare all bites.
- Finally, Tiranga sandwich bites or Tri colour sandwich bites are ready to serve. Enjoy it or pack in Kids snack/lunch box.

Tips:
- Always use fresh bread to make sandwich more tasty and soft.
- Alternatively you can use veggies of your choice like lettuce or cucumber for green layer, tomato slices for orange layer to make Tricoloured layered sandwich bites.
- Likewise, you can make a full sized layered sandwich, but small sandwich bites attract the kids.
- You can poke a toothpick, to hold the layers of sandwich bites intact.
