Mawa/ khoya is used in many sweets in India, because it takes time to make, then we buy it from the market. But during the festivals, we often hears the news that mawa is adulterated. So let's make it easily at home, which will be ready quickly. For much faster option, in this recipe the Khoa is prepared with full cream milk powder. This homemade khoya is much better than the store brought ones. It has all the richness & goodness of milk. No additives or preservatives are added. Using below mentioned quantity of ingredients, around 250 grams of Khoya is prepared. This khoya stays good for about 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator. In the freezer, you can keep it for 6 to 8 days.

Instructions for how to make Instant Khoya at home:
- Firstly, heat 2tbsp ghee/clarified butter in a pan.
- After the ghee melts, add 1/4 cup of fresh or heavy whipping cream to it and mix it really well with ghee. Keep the flame on low.
- Then add 1/2 cup of milk while stirring continuously and mix well.
- Next add 1 cup of milk powder gradually. Add 2tbsp of milk powder at a time and mix well. Again add 2 tbsp and mix well, Likewise add whole 1 cup of milk powder in small batches.
- Mix well to make a lump-free mixture.
- Stir the mixture really well and cook until it gets thick and smooth in consistency.
- Cook until it starts to leave the pan while stirring continuously.
- When the mixture thickens and comes in the form of mawa, turn off the flame.
- Mawa is ready, take it out in a bowl, or set it in a rectangular block on a butter paper, like you find it in the market or Indian grocery stores.
- Homemade Instant Mawa or Khoya is ready to use. You can use it for making any sweet like Mawa Gujiya, Barfi, mawa dry fruit ladoo, mawa carrot halwa or gulab jamun.

Tips:
- Instead of Ghee/clarified butter, unsalted butter can also be used.
- Don't add all the milk powder together. Add in the small batches, else the mixture will have too many lumps.
- For good quality Mawa or Khoya, stir the mixture continuously on low flame.
