Instructions for how to prepare Eggless Donuts:
- Firstly, in a bowl take 1/4 cup warm milk and 3.5 tbsp sugar.
- Mix the sugar well with milk make sure all sugar dissolves.
- Add 2 tsp dry instant yeast to it and mix it gently. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes, or till the yeast activates and turns frothy.
- Add 2 cups of Maida and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Add activated yeast to the bowl. Combine it well with the flour.
- Add 1/2 cup water to it and knead a soft dough.
- Add 1.5 tbsp butter to it and combine it well.
- Knead the dough at-least 10 mins or till the dough becomes soft and smooth. Grease the dough with oil and cover the bowl tightly with cling wrap. Allow it to rest and rise in a warm place for at-least 1 hour.
- Punch the dough with fist to release down the air and knead slightly.
- Take a large ball sized dough and dust with maida. Roll the dough slightly thick using rolling pin into flat disc.
- Now with the help of donut/cookie cutter or glass/ bowl/cup cut round shape and to make a hole in center use bottle cap.
- Place the prepared donut shape over a butter/parchment paper and brush the donuts with oil to prevent from drying out.
- Place all the donuts in a tray and cover them with a cloth. Allow them to rest in warm place for 20 mins.
- Deep fry the donuts in medium hot oil or bake in preheated oven at 180°C or 350°F for 20 minutes.
- Fry till the donuts turn golden brown. Drain off over the kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.
- Take 100 grams of dark and white chocolate and then add 1/2 tsp oil in each bowl & melt them.
- Add 2-3 drops of blue colour in white chocolate and transfer it to a Ziploc bag. This step is optional.
- Dip the prepared donuts into the chocolate and make designs of your choice.
- Similarly, Dip the donuts into the dark chocolate and sprinkle some sugar sprinkles over the chocolate.
- Chocolate Donuts are ready to serve. Enjoy!

- You can top with any chocolate of your choice.
- To make them different in colour you can add any food colour of your choice to the white chocolate.
