Instructions for how to make Apple Milk Peda:
- Add milk in a non-stick pan and then add sugar to it. Stir it till the sugar dissolved.
- Add milk powder to it.
- Mix it well and make sure there is no lumps in the mixture. Switch on the burner at medium flame.
- Add saffron milk to it and mix it well too.
- Stir it continuously till the mixture gets thick.
- Keep the flame low and add 1 tsp of ghee (clarified butter) to it.
- The mixture thickens and starts to separate from the pan.
- Mix it well till the dough turns soft and smooth. Let it be cool so that you can touch it.
- For a smooth and crack free ball, grease your hands with ghee. Scoop a tbsp of dough and prepare a lemon sized ball. Likewise, prepare all the balls.
- At the center, press it gently. Milk Pedas are ready at this stage. But to give it apple shape you have to do few more steps.
- Place a clove at the center of each ball. (Which becomes its stem)
- Take a liquid red food colour in a small bowl and with paint brush paint all the apples as shown in the picture.
- Garnish it with pistachio, which looks like its leaf. Apple Milk Peda is ready to serve. Enjoy!
