Firstly, try to always use fresh home made curd. Here I have used fresh besan boondi, which I have prepared at home with simple ingredients available in every Indian kitchen. You can checkout my How to make besan boondi at home recipe to make fresh boondi. As I have added mint in it which enhances its taste and make it more refreshing. Another thing you must take care add the boondi just before serving otherwise it may turn extra soft which does not taste good.

Instructions for how to make Boondi Raita:
- Take a mixing bowl and add curd to it. Whisk the curd to make a smooth silky consistency of curd. You can use electronic mixer/blender or hand whisk to whisk it.
- Add Black salt to it which enhances its tastes
- Add roasted cumin powder to it.
- Add grounded black pepper and mint powder to it.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Add besan boondi to it and mix well.
- Boondi raita is ready to serve. Take it in a serving bowl.
- At the end, sprinkle some roasted cumin powder, red chili powder and chopped coriander leaves to garnish it and serve it with food.

Tips:
- Try to use fresh home made curd/yogurt.
- For crispy boondi, add boondi to curd just before serving.
- For soft boondi, you can soak boondi in warm water for 10-15 mins. before adding it to the curd.
- You can use regular salt instead of black salt or you can use 1/4 tsp of regular salt and 1/4 tsp of black salt.
- You can use fresh mint leaves instead of mint powder, which makes it more refreshing.
