Tricolour Sandwich Bites Recipe is easy, quick, healthy and perfect for both Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations for kids, which represents the three colours of Indian flag. Here is the recipe with alternate options to make three layers and step by step instructions and pictures.
1. Ingredients Preview. Firstly, cut the sides of 2 white or wheat bread. Then cut a slice of bread into four small squares/rectangles, to make sandwich bites. Use the whole slice if you want a full sized sandwich.
2. To make one tricolour sandwich bite, take 2 small bread squares. On one bread square, spread 1 tsp green sandwich chutney.
3. Then place thinly sliced capsicum over it. Alternatively use sliced cucumber or lettuce to make green layer.
4. Then place a bread sized thick Paneer slice, which will make the white layer of Tiranga. And then sprinkle little salt and ground black pepper over the Paneer slice.
5. Then take the another bread square and apply tomato sauce over it and place sliced/grated carrots over it to make Orange layer. Alternatively use tomato slices for orange layer. Then season with some salt and ground black pepper.
6. And flip over this prepared bread square over the paneer slice. Press gently and make a dot/circle in the centre of paneer slice with ground black pepper as Ashok Chakra. This is optional. Likewise, prepare all bites.
7. Finally, Tiranga sandwich bites or Tri colour sandwich bites are ready to serve. Enjoy it or pack in Kids snack/lunch box.
