The Green Sandwich Chutney is very easy to prepare. This spiced chutney or condiment recipe is multipurpose chutney mainly used as a spread for sandwich recipes or can be used to prepare any Chaat recipes or can be used as a dip for various snacks. As this chutney is prepared with fresh coriander leaves, it stays good for a week in the refrigerator. But you can deep freeze the chutney by converting it to ice cubes and store it in freezer and it lasts more than 4 months. Here is the recipe with step by step instructions, pictures and tips.

Ingredients for Sandwich Green Chutney Recipe:
 2 cups Fresh Coriander
 4 Green Chili
 1 inch Ginger
 ¼ Capsicum/ Green Bell Pepper
 1 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
 1 tsp Cumin Seeds/ Jeera
 1 tsp Sugar
 1.50 tbsp Sev / Roasted Chana Dal
 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  tsp Black SaltOptional
 Salt to taste
 2 tbsp Water

2. Firstly, in a grinder jar add fresh coriander, green chilies, ginger, capsicum, roasted peanuts. Capsicum is optional but it retains the green colour of the chutney.

3. Then add cumin seeds, black salt and salt to it.

4. Add sugar and sev to it. You can also use roasted chana dal instead of sev.

5. Finally, add lemon juice and water to it.

6. Now, grind it to make a smooth paste.
