Masala Pav is a delicious and spicy Mumbai street- fast food recipe, which is very easy & quick recipe. It is basically a stuffed Pav recipe. It's stuffing is prepared with the combination of Onion, Tomatoes and Capsicum with pav bhaji masala. It can also be served as a party snack. Serve masala pav sprinkled with some chopped onion and garnished with coriander leaves. Here is the recipe with step by step instructions, pictures and tips.
1. Ingredients Preview.
2. Firstly, heat 2 tsp butter on tawa. Add 1 finely chopped onion to it and sauté well.
3. Then add finely chopped 1/4th capsicum, 1 green chili and 1 tsp ginger paste. You can use finely chopped or grated ginger also. Continue to sauté.
4. Add 1 finely chopped tomato and salt to taste to it.
5. Cook till tomatoes turn soft.
6. Add 1/2 tsp red chili powder and 1.5 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala to it. I have used Kashmiri Red chili powder.
7. Add 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves and mix them well.
8. Add little water (1 tbsp) & squeeze 1/2 lemon to it.
9. Mix them well & cook the masala really well.
10. Take 2 pav together and cut into half as shown in picture.
11. Scrape the masala to one side of tawa and spread generous amount of prepared masala on both sides of the pav.
12. Masala Pav is ready to serve. Enjoy the masala pav hot with chopped onions.
