Mango Halwa/ Mango Sheera Recipe is a perfect Summer Dessert Recipe. This recipe is a great way to prepare a simple halwa/sheera recipe with seasonal fruit, as mangoes are loved by all age groups. Halwa is an auspicious sweet dish and prepared as Prasad/ Prasadam on many occasions. It can also be served as dessert after lunch or dinner. There are myriad dessert and sweet recipes made with semolina across India. One such classical recipe is 'Sooji Ka Halwa'. In North India it is known as 'Halwa' while in South India, it is known as 'Sheera'. Giving it little twist with mangoes make it super delicious. This halwa is very easy to prepare. 1. Ingredients Preview.
2. Firstly, take a heavy bottomed pan/wok and heat ghee into it.
3. Then add semolina/ Sooji into the pan and roast it with the help of a ladle. After 5 minutes, Sooji turns light pink in colour. Stir the sooji continuously until it turns to light brown in colour.
4. Now, add milk followed by adding mango pulp to it on low flame.
5. Mix them well while stirring continuously.
6. Then add Sugar to it.
7. Mix it well and stir at short intervals.
8. Add chopped almonds and cashew nuts to it.
9. Mix it well making sure everything is well combined.
10. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits. Mango Halwa/ Sheera is ready to serve. Enjoy!
